All winners, performers and guests at the Orchid 'Be Yourself' grand finale event in Alamanda Shopping Centre, Putrajaya, on Saturday, March 4, 2017.

The first ever Orchid ‘Be Yourself’ competition finale rocked the house at Alamanda Shopping Centre in Putrajaya, as talented finalists gave their all as they out-acted, out-sang, out-danced and outshone each other to grab the chance of winning RM6,000 in total cash prizes, exclusive Orchid feminine wash products and the once-in-a-lifetime experience to star beside Orchid brand ambassador, Sazzy Falak, in a short firm produced by local production mega house Metrowealth International Group (MiG)!


In efforts to empower more Malaysian women to openly address the topic of intimate feminine hygiene, Orchid, an up-and coming feminine wash range, organized its first ever ‘Be Yourself’ competition, in conjunction with its #Malu?TakMalu! campaign which encourages women to join in the conversation.


Nabbing the first prize in the ‘Be Yourself’ competition finals is Hamiza Hanapi, 32, from Selangor, as Noor Lyianna Binti Akhir Rudin, 25, from Selangor took the second place. Coming in third place was Sharifah Norbaizura Binti Syied Mohd Safie, 32, also from Selangor. The competition was judged by, Malaysian TV Host, actress and Orchid’s brand ambassador, Sazzy Falak, Ms Tan Joo In from Orchid and Ms Carrol Tan from Watsons Malaysia.


The competition finale was joined by Watsons Personal Care Stores (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (Watsons Malaysia), a Health, Wellness and Beauty solution retailer, operating with over 400 stores in Malaysia. The diverse range of talents featured acting, singing, dancing, as well as a martial arts performance. The competition was a hit, with hundreds of entries received via Orchid’s social media pages. 12 individuals whom stood out were shortlisted, as they came a step closer to be in the running for money-can’t buy prizes.

However, the top three outdid the others through stage presence, confidence, audience interaction, showmanship and creativity. Overall the talent show was very impressive,” said Sazzy.

Blue Kinetic Sands from Toys R Us

It was a present for YS when his birthday he chosen to buy the Kinetic Sands from Toys R Us. Its very expensive in Malaysia, the sands cost over RM100. No kidding but glad that now his little brother WL is having good time to play with grandpa. Good time together as both play together with the sands to make something nice. They created a face, a robot, mermaid, and many more.

WL and YS often played together. It's Friday but YS is at tuition center at the moment he has classes until 6pm. Just find out from him that Science tuition teacher doesn't give any homeworks.

It's sad news from YS to get know his exam result on Science subject 28 marks, which mean he failed the test. He failed in Bahasa Cina, Chinese language two papers test also both 32 marks the papers! It's not easy as I saw the questions on the papers, mostly are subjective questions. There's no choice given and he needs to answer them by himself.

Tuition center I spending more than daycare. Two years YS went daycare RM400 each month for day care. But at tuition center RM250 , RM90 per month, and for BC RM480 a semester. (3 months). The fees which only spend on YS, as for WL kindergarten fee is RM430 monthly.

Kids education are not cheap, also the medical fee too. YS been waiting to purchase kinetic sands for a long time, finally it was sale and we bought it for him. Yeah even though it is sale the price still need to pay RM100 above, that's a lot of money.

My friend plan to go Sunway Hot Spring in Ipoh but coach is at Sunway Lagoon to depart. That's why we wonder how much would it cost to park overnight. Seem the mall didn't encourage shopper to do so. What to do? As from message from facebook with Sunway Pyramid.

It is advisable you head to security and inform the security and discuss issue on let the car overnight and how much will be the charges. Carpark office is located at CP3, near the entrance of car park.

Anyway my friend drop the interest in parking at the mall for overnight.

MYDIN CUTS DOWN PRICES OF 50 ITEMS UP TO 30%

Mydin Mohamed Holdings Bhd. (MYDIN) has taken proactive initiative to support the government's call to cut down prices of items. Datuk Seri Hasan Malek, Minister of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism, recently chaired a meeting on “Issues of Prices of items and service charges” on 10th February 2015 at Putrajaya. The Minister urged all traders, retailers, suppliers and wholesalers to bring down their prices of items. This is in line with the decline of oil prices effective from 1st February 2015 and such initiative by MYDIN is to ensure that the items in MYDIN are offered at affordable prices and not burden the consumers especially the low-income group.

In line with this noble effort, MYDIN has worked out a list of 50 selected items which prices have been reduced due to the decline in operating cost. This is also in support of the call made by our Prime Minister, YAB Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, (Bernama, 6 February 2015) who urged all wholesalers and traders, regardless of race, to be fair to consumers by cutting down prices of items due to reduction of petrol price effective from 1st February 2015.

“MYDIN will continue to help, contribute and strive towards creating a stable socio-economic development in the country. Nevertheless, I feel dissatisfied that there are still some suppliers and manufacturers out there that still have not yet reduced their prices of supplies. I would like to call upon retailers to jointly support and get involved in this noble effort to achieve sustainable socio-economic growth so “Traders are happy, Consumers are satisfied”.

As the first step, MYDIN has reduced prices of 50 items up to 30%. These items are available in 18 MYDIN Hypermarkets, 16 MYDIN Emporiums and 3 MYDIN Bazars. But any action and process to cut down prices cannot be done immediately and simultaneously. The items which have been identified amongst others are Black Pomfret Fish, Bigeye Scad Fish, Red Chili, Cucumber, Milo (400 g), Hang Tuah Coffee, Power Root Ali Cafe 5 in 1, Huggies Drypers, Adabi Spices (250 g), Jalen Soy Sauce (650 g) and many more.

I remembered my boys having fun time in play Discoveria Discovery by Dinosuar, they didn't want to go home.
